.::Cameron Highlands Trip::.

.: Saturday, 28th April 2007

A much awaited day for the drive and overnight stay in Cameron Highlands. No matter that it dawned dark and drizzly. The cloudy skies and light drizzle did not deter those who turned up to support the drive. It's only convoy of 2 cars: Kelisa & Citra. The cars fully packed with cumbersome luggages of 8 pretty single ladies.

Cameron Highlands, a picturesque highland with fresh air and floral scents, is one of the most popular tourist spots in Malaysia. We assembled at Wani's House in Kota Damansara because a thrilling trip to Cameron Highlands was about to begin. This was an unusual trip because a group of young pretty ladies (Only ladies~!) full with courage eagerly to climb one of the coolest mount in Malaysia.

The convoy set off at approx. 9.00am, Wani with her Kelisa was interested enough to have stayed with me who drove Sue's Citra all the way to Tapah. On our way to Tapah, we saw a long convoy of PORSCHE cars. All the ladies in the cars start screaming including me~! Hehehehe...I've asked Sue to snap some photos but it turned out to be video recording instead.

We hit Tapah at 11.00am. I certainly was champing at the bit at having to stay within the speed limit. From the North South Expressway (NSE or PLUS Highway), we took Tapah exit. After paying at the toll booth, turn left into the main Tapah-Ringlet road that leads to Cameron Higlands. The Lata Iskandar is located after some 30 minutes of driving from Tapah. To be honest, we did not find the water too inviting for a dip. The water was clear enough, but the idea of swimming by the busy roadside was probably not the best of idea. Anyway, there are a number of food stalls and handicraft outlets nearby the waterfalls. You may browse to see what you may like. To us, they are probably more of tourist traps than anything else.

The prospect of missing out on the drive up the winding road to the Highlands was too tempting to forgo.. Soon we were at the Carnation Apartments, Tanah Rata after we paid RM500 and took the key from the owner at a food stall called Strawberry Kiosk. We dragged our luggage and went into our respective apartment. By this time, it was about 1.00pm. We grabbed a quick rest and then Diana, our talented chef started preparing our lunch. As time went on, we got closer to one another. Proudly to see that each of us know our own responsiblities and everything ran smoothly as planned. That evening, we went to the night market in Brincang after a persistent drizzle had stopped. At the night market, we could see some of us with smiles of satisfaction at the 'trophies'they had collected. Some of us bought Cactuses, Keychains and lots more~! Not long after, we went back to our apartments to prepare for dinner and AF5 Concert. There was ample food, and even though we made an all-out effort to squeeze and shove as much food as possible into our mouths, we couldn’t finish it all.

.: Sunday, 29th April 2007

The next day, we all woke up early. After we had freshened up and had breakfast, we took some photographs outside the apartments. Then, we quickly jumped into the Citra. Luckily it could fit 8 of us in a car. We resisted to go to Bharat tea plantation and drove up to BOH tea plantation at Sungai Palai. We gazed at the endless green carpet of tea bushes. It was a spectacular view. We spent one hour there, breathing in the tea scent and then breathing out the foul urban air within us. Needless to say, we took photos till the batteries weak.

As soon as we arrived at the Butterfly farm, we stepped out jubilantly from the Citra. Charges RM5 per person and calls itself Butterfly Farm but only a few inside. Some nice flowers though. Saw a plant with green coloured blooms labelled as 'green roses' though they didn't resemble any rose I know of. Enjoy the flowers, take some pictures and at least they don't charge anything for taking in a camera! Along told me that the Butterfuly Farm at Penang is much better. Later, we continued our journey to a bee farm.When we arrived, we jumped out from the Citra hurriedly because it was drizzling. We didn't spend a lot of time wandering around the bee farm because we did not find it that attractive.

The MARDI place is an absolutely lovely place and thousands of tourists have visited it since it was opened years ago. We found numerous types of flowers, plants and cactus there. We strolled through the park at a relaxed pace, and as we did so, we could feel the stress of urban living ease off us. The MARDI is quite big, so we spent almost two hours drinking in the beauty of the flowers and imprinting their image on camera and in our minds. It was no surprise that the batteries are weaken faster compare our visit to Bee & Butterfly Farm.

.: Monday, 30th April 2007

Sadly, all good things must come to an end. The next day, We turned into the southbound PLUS highway at Simpang Pulai and headed home. Before that, we took the opportunity to shop for fresh vegetables, fruits and flowers at Kea Farm nearby Equatorial Hotel. All in all, it was a funfilled event and all of us enjoyed ourselves very much. We drove safe, kept within the speed limits (no summons received yet!) and looked out for each other.

::iG Has Been Accused~!::

I was so busy since last January till I have no time to update my blog. Last evening, I was told by Nash that someone has post me a warning message in my Shoutbox. I was extremely shocked to know that I've been accused of stealing pictures from another Henna Artiste.

All pictures displayed in my blog are mine~!!! This is extremely funny coz.. how come she could claimed the pictures belong to her as you can see it was taken at my home and a restaurant in Malaysia wherelse she is in California.

The next step I took is to watermark most of my Henna pictures. This is the best protection for my digital images and I've always tried to keep my watermark small and out of the viewers way but I have been considering making it larger here lately. It may be that some just 'capture' it and live with it right now. Actually I don't really mind though.. I'm not like Darcy who is yelling in my shoutbox and asking me to get my own pictures down...

My fellow friends know that I am so much fond of sketching henna designs on top of anybodies hands. Most of the times, I could not sit still and I will start offering and share my henna enthusiasm with my nieces and friend by filling up their hands with my NEW IDEAS of Henna Designing...

.:Henna Party @ Dayu's Home:.

I have organized a Henna Party during the Christmas Eve at home with the help of my Sister, Nieces and adopted Nephew. It is actually a joined party. My adopted nephew is celebrating his 25th Birthday on 25th of December. I have invited all my friends over and Henna each of them. I was so delighted to have Sue, Liza, Wani, Nora, Diana & her cousin, Nana around. This is a great time to sit and chat with each other.

Kids (my nieces especially) love Henna! Have you ever seen a child's face light up when they get one of those stick on temporary tattoos? They get the same look with Henna. It will last for three weeks and that they don't have to worry about it rubbing off and watch their eyes sparkle.
The average time for a Henna design to remain on the skin is about two to three weeks. This will vary depending on the body chemistry of the person (they only last about a week on me) and the length of time that the paste is left on the skin.

My friends was so surprised to find out that I'm good in doing the Henna Design. They seem so curious to know why I'm enthusiaticly doing freelance Henna Design lately. I told them that I using my skills to earn extra money to pay up my study loan, etc.

I've been doing seriously d ancient art of henna design (also known as mehndi/mehendi) since past 2 months and is currently available for bridal henna bookings and any other henna-related parties. You may SMS/call me for enquiries @ +60126777889.

::Allah knows what's the best 4 us...::

Allah knows what's d best 4 us. Why should we complain. We always want sunshine. But He knows there must be rain. We always want laughter & merriment of cheer. But our heart will lose their tenderness, if we never shed a tear. Allah test us often. With suffering & sorrow. He test us, not to punish us. But to help us meet tomorrow. For growing trees r strengthened. If they can withstand d storm & d sharpness of d chisel. Gave d marble its grace & form. Allah test us often. And for every pain He gives us, provided we r patient, is followed by rich gain. So, whenever we feel dat everything is going wrong, it is just Allah's way to make our spirit STRONG!

a glimpse of light half-sighted
as the evening glimmers down:
a pale girl in a flowered dress
half a smile and half a frown
and though the lilac lingers
and the petal strewn lawns'
damp grass runs though my fingers

:: Revolusi Ke Arah Khayra ::

Bermula pada saat ini... dan tika ini... Yang pastinya daku ingin meneruskan niat suciku ini yang mana dahulunya seringkali tertangguh.

:: Agenda-agendaku yang seringkali TERTANGGUH ::

Malu sebenarnya aku nak cerita...

Apa lagi yea? ermx... Nanti kalau aku teringat.. aku akan cuba update lagi ler. Buat masa sekarang nie.. Aku dah hilang ingatan.. AhakS~! :))

Just sit back and relax... Okey?

I am just confusing myself. Between my feelings that I have and the ones that I shouldnt have. What are the ones that I should have and shouldnt have. I mean, cummon, its only natural to like someone, but then again you dont think you should when they dont feel for you like you feel for them. It is akward at times, just thinking, of what you could be "if only". Yah "if only" was true I dont know what I would do.It's good to be back to write and share my sweet & sour moments with you all.... It's almost a year back where's my last entry was in

I could never find a friend in all my searching of the world
who could fill all the spaces in my life that you have filled.

Together we have formed a bond that no one could break apart.
Thank you my friend for being there and taking time to care.

If we never meet in the flesh you will always be a big part of my life

The HyperMarket Trolley Comparison War~!

How come they can claim 'The truth is in there' where they didn’t include the proof of purchase? I used to see this type of marketing strategy... It is called ‘Trolley Comparison’. Prices were independently collected in between two or three hypermarkets. Surprisingly Care4 is being so transparent on doing this marketing promotion by indicating their competitor’s name clearly to show to the consumers that their price is damn competitive. I believe that consumers are not that stupid to be influenced with that.

I prefer Tesco’s marketing strategy in doing this ‘Trolley Comparison’. They put the real trolley aside and place in the trolley with whole bunch of items which come from their competitor and from their own hypermarket. Yes, Tesco did it in a professional way. They have the receipt from the competitor’s store and stick them nicely on the board without candor. Tesco always aim to make a fair comparison. If the price collectors can't find the product in the same size in a competitor's stores, they take the nearest size and convert the price pro-rata. If there is no size that will fairly compare with the Tesco product, then we do not include it.

Not like what Care4 did. Simply instruct the Visual Merchandising Design (VMD) Artist to write the items out and place the price accordingly. However, in an independently collected survey of this size, it is always possible that an incorrect price may be quoted. Come on big playaz… please ensure that the prices displayed on this facility are fair, representative and accurate. We as the consumers are not that stupid to be cheated or fool by u guys…

BTW, Thank you for helping Us spend less everyday... :P

:: Carlsberg's Ads on Shopping Trolley~! ::

Yesterday I went to Carrefour Endah Parade, Sri Petaling and I saw a signage in A2 Size has been displayed nearby the trolley bay. It's stated there "TROLI tiada iklan ARAK di sini". It's good to see the Carrefour's management has taken up some efforts to segregate the trolleys with the Carlsberg's Ads. <- Big Applause for this~!

This scenario is not only happens in Carre4 Hypermarket but also in TESCO. As we know those shopping trolleys act as advertising tools. Shopping Trolley Advertisement is an already known media vehicle that allows for communicating the advertisement message for a long period of time and at the Point Of Purchase. There’s a lots of features & benefits from the S.T Ads, as it’s easy to reach the customers directly at Point of Purchase. However, it’s really a big ashamed to see a Muslim pushing around the trolley with the Carlsberg's Ads. Indirectly, the Muslims help to promote the product without their consciousness.

Furthermore the advertisement can be seen both from the side of the user of the trolley and from the outside by the customers. The Muslim consumers have been exploited. I’ve once faced the same problem in TESCO last year. I’m willing to spend my time to wait for the non-Ads trolley to arrive at the trolley bay on the selling floor for almost 10 minutes and as for me, I’m very particular about this matter. I hope in future, there will be more good products for health to be advertised rather than the alcohol thingy!
